I started Watauga Systems because I got tired of watching people around here get bad tech support. Either it was a big box store that did not care, or a call center three states away reading from a script. I figured I could do better.
I have been doing IT work for over 15 years, most of it in corporate environments where things had to actually work. Now I do the same kind of work for regular people and small businesses in the Tri-Cities. I will tell you if a repair is not worth the money. I will show you the price before I start. And if something goes wrong, I am right here on Armed Forces Drive to fix it.
No call centers. No ticket queues. Just a guy who knows what he is doing and gives a damn.
Free advice from your local tech experts. No strings attached.

If your email password is the same as your bank password, change one of them right now. A free password manager like Bitwarden makes this painless.
Those update notifications exist for a reason. Set your devices to auto-update overnight. Most of the malware we clean up exploited a bug that was already patched.
If your computer died today, what would you lose? Set up automatic cloud backups or an external drive. We can help with this for free during any service call.
Before you call us: restart, check for updates, and clear your browser cache. That fixes about 40% of slowdowns. If it is still slow, then call us.
If an email asks you to "verify your account" or "click immediately," stop. Call the company directly using a number you find yourself, not the one in the email.
Based in Elizabethton, we provide on-site and remote support across the entire Tri-Cities region.
